In 2002, I really missed this game when I bought my 1st pocket pc and decided to write it for that platform. The Kaywa Reader is a 2D Barcode Reader to install on your mobile phone. Once installed, you can scan 2D Barcodes and the content of the 2D Barcode is then immediately resolved on the phone.

2D Barcodes (QR Code, Datamatrix) can hold several types of information:

• an URL, respectively a mobile site’s address
• a SMS message
• a phone number
• any kind of text
• an email address

The URL is certainly the most interesting type of information which can be encoded. After scanning the 2D Barcode, you get a connection to the mobile site.

I’ve been a longtime user of Opera Mobile and it is my number one browser on my device. Presently, version 8.65 can be downloaded/purchased from www.opera,com/products/mobile/products/. Version 9.5 promises to be even better and I’ve been eagerly looking for a release date. Finally I’ve got one, the 15th of July. Note that Opera Mobile 9.5 is already running on devices like the HTC Diamond Touch and Advantage.
